Another medieval manuscript collection is online – the Bibliotheca Palatina. This is a collection of over 3000 manuscripts, so its numbers alone make it an amazing resource. For people like me – who live far from anywhere with a medieval or Renaissance collection – this is excellent new.
I applaud every university, library and project engaged in digitizing their collection. My gratitude includes those who advertize the availability of these resources. Medievalists.net is a great source of information about all sorts of arcane information. Check it out.
After centuries of separation, one of the most valuable collections of manuscripts from the Middle Ages and Early Modern Age – the Bibliotheca Palatina – has been virtually reunited.
